COVID 19 UPDATE
We have missed everyone here at the Pressey House and are looking forward to welcoming everyone back for another great summer on Messalonskee Lake. Starting June 1, we will be taking reservations for Maine residents. Starting June 12th residents from NH and VT are welcome with no restrictions and no mandated quarantine. As of July 1, residents from CT, NJ and NY have no restrictions and no mandated quarantine. We are taking every precaution to ensure our guest's safety and well being. Our 5 rooms have private entrances and 4 of them have kitchens so that guests can prepare their own meals. Starting July 1, travelers from all other states then listed upbove are welcomed back but must meet Maine's compliances of a negative Covid 19 test. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us as we are working with guests to make your stay with us this year just as wonderful as it has been in the past.
The Pressey House Lakeside Bed and Breakfast in the Oakland, Maine area is open year-round, offering solitude for guests who are seeking a peaceful retreat and a convenient location for those who want to experience outdoor recreation in an outstanding environment that rests right at the North end of Messalonskee Lake. With 100 feet of prestine water frontage enjoy the views or partake in a kayak, canoe or on a paddleboard. The house was built in 1850 and was put on the National Register of Historical Places in 1977. The suites of the Bed and Breakfast are located in the octogon, ell and attached barn portions of the property and are spacious, relaxing, and comfortable. The delicious breakfasts will be the perfect start to your day's activities. The Pressey House is less than a 10 minute drive to Colby College and Thomas College and also offers wireless internet service for our guests.
The Pressey House is located in the Belgrade Lakes region on the north end of Messalonskee Lake in the small town of Oakland. Messalonskee Lake offers swimming, boating, water skiing and fishing in the summer and skating, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing in the winter.
