Our story

Built in 1850, Pressey House was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. The bed and breakfast includes a suite on the ground floor of the octagon, the Granite Suite, while the Ell Suite connects the octagon to the barn, where guests will also find the Loft and Terrace Suites. Each suite is spacious, comfortable, and designed to offer a relaxing stay.

Pressey House is located in Oakland at the north end of Messalonskee Lake, in Maine’s beautiful Belgrade Lakes region. In the summer, guests can enjoy swimming, boating, water skiing, and fishing, while winter brings opportunities for skating, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. In the fall, the region comes alive with some of the most spectacular foliage in Maine.
